Crimson connection

BorrowDirectLogoThe trip to Cambridge just got shorter: With Harvard University Library now an official lender in the Borrow Direct consortium, books from Harvard will get to Cornell faster than ever before.

In addition to Cornell, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, MIT, Penn, Princeton and Yale participate in Borrow Direct, which has more than 50 million volumes.

The consortium enables faculty, staff and students to search the library catalogs of all those schools and request expedited delivery of their circulating items. Thanks to recent upgrades in the system, users can keep items from Borrow Direct for six weeks, with an option to renew for another six weeks.
