Women’s lax look to NCAAs
A recent Final Four appearance, a national coach of the year on the sidelines, a national player of the year candidate and a shiny top 20 ranking in the country. The men’s lacrosse program? Well, yes, but the highly successful women’s lacrosse team would be a similarly correct answer. The Big Red made its first appearance in the IWLCA/Under Armour National Poll this season when it moved in at No. 18 in the poll released April 15. They are making a push to reach the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in the last eight years under Jenny Graap ‘86, the 2002 national coach of the year. The Big Red closed out the home schedule with games against top 20 foe Yale and Central New York rival Syracuse.
