Join us at Empire Farm Days from Aug. 6-8 in Seneca Falls, New York for educational events and conversations focused around soil health in the Northeast.

Building soil health is imperative for a farm’s resilience in the face of drought and extreme weather events, erosion, water, and fertility management, as well as ecological and economic sustainability for growers.

Soil health talks will be led by Ryan Maher, extension specialist from our very own Small Farms Program, and Harold Van Es, notable professor of Soil and Water Management at Cornell University.

Additionally, the New York Soil Health Trailer will be at Empire Farm Days conducting demonstrations of soil health and compaction in northeastern pastures led by extension specialist Fay Benson and Cornell Cooperative Extension associate Joseph Amsili.
