Saurabh Gautam (India)

I am studying the potential effects of Bt proteins on non-target beneficial insects through tritrophic interactions. I am particularly interested in assessing the effects of Cry 1Ac proteins on entomopathogenic nematodes using Bt resistant diamondback moth larvae.

I graduated from Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, India in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. During that time, I also worked for a year in the floriculture industry in Pune, India. My interest in insects led me to pursue a masters in Entomology under a dual degree program offered jointly by Cornell University and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India. I am funded by the Cornell – Sathguru Foundation for development Hyderabad, India.
