Dr. Junce Tian (China)

Junce comes from Zhejiang Province, China.  He received his B.S. in Plant Protection from Zhejiang University in 2004 and Ph. D. in Environmental Biology from Zhejiang University in 2010.  In September 2010, Junce joined the Shelton Lab as a postdoctoral associate to perform risk assessments of insect-resistant genetically modified crops against non-target arthropods, especially natural enemies. He also works on the biology and management of swede midge, an invasive insect pest that affects brassica crops.

Junce got married in the spring of 2012 and misses his bride very much, who is still in China.  Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, badminton, fishing and cooking.
