Cornell Communication graduate student Samuel Hardman Taylor recently presented an hour-long webinar to over 30 members of the New York State Extension offices about parenting in the digital age. The webinar was entitled “Family Communication in the Digital Age: Explaining the Disruption of Technology on the Home.” He addressed topics related to online risky behaviors, parent-child online communication, and positive Internet uses. Attendees were members the New York Department of Health, Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (CAPP), and Successfully Transitioning Youth to Adolescence (STYA). These groups work with high need communities across the state of New York to promote healthy behaviors in adolescents and their parents.

Future webinars by ShareSoMe faculty and students will be announced on our website and Twitter.
