About Us

In 2011 Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCE) was given the responsibility of providing residential recycling education in Seneca County.

For nearly 100 years, SCCCE has served the people of the County, putting to practical use the scholarship and research of Cornell University and the national land grant system in the areas of agriculture and food systems sustainability; families, nutrition, health and safety (human ecology); youth development (4-H); environmental and natural resource enhancement; and community and economic vitality.

Our teen peer recycling education group, Seneca GR&EEN (Generating Recycling & Energy Education Now) is available to present recycling, composting, energy, and climate change information to groups in the community as well as their schools.

Your efforts are helping to make Seneca County a better place to live 🙂

THANK YOU for recycling!
