I am interested in the evolution of wing pattern regulatory networks. Currently, I am focusing on 1) cis-regulatory element evolution of optix locus in Heliconius; 2) targeted mutagenesis of pigment pathway genes in Vanessa cardui; and 3) downstream pigment synthesis genes of optix in Heliconius.
