Hollister Hall, Carpenter Hall and the Future of the Engineering Quad

A new poster has gone up at the Engineering Library study space in Carpenter Hall entitled “Hollister Hall, Carpenter Hall and
the Future of the Engineering Quad”. Cornell and the College of Engineering are considering changes to Hollister Hall, Carpenter Hall and the Engineering Quad overall to add more and better teaching and research space. Both of these two buildings are now over a half-century old and it is the long-term goal of the College of Engineering to consolidate some existing functions (like administration and advising offices) and to offer new spaces for faculty and student use.

Right now, things are in the planning stage pending funding and final decisions about which proposed plans to undertake as well as how to minimize the impact of any renovation or construction on day-to-day teaching and research. Take a look at our poster to see some of the proposed designs.
