Grad students: Learn to talk about your research to non-specialists with SPARK Talks

Graduate students: Are you looking for ways to explain your research to non-specialists and the public? Consider participating in SPARK Talks. SPARK–Scholars Present About Research and Knowledge–are a five-minute presentation format intended to allow scholars and students to present their research in plain-language terms that almost anyone can understand.

If you’d like to participate in this program, see this site and apply by October 3, 2016. If you’d like to come and hear others present SPARK Talks, come on October 27 from 4 to 6 PM. This year’s SPARK Talks series has the theme of “Community.”
