Workshop for grad students: Perfect your Elevator Speech

Inevitably, you find yourself in a social situation (professional or otherwise) and are asked “what is it you do?”  How would you answer?  If you get blank stares or don’t know how to convey what your research is all about, this workshop is for you.  Come learn how to take advantage of networking opportunities and craft your very own elevator speech!

Join us on February 10 and February 24, 2013  (2-4:30pm in Kennedy 213) as Kathy Berggren will teach you how to be more comfortable, confident and effective when speaking, networking, and giving presentations based on Media skills trainer, Lorraine Howell’s book “Give Your Elevator Speech a Lift”

Registration for this workshop is required.

Limited to 26 graduate students – Deadline to register is Wednesday February 6th.

Light refreshments will be served!

Brought to you by the Physical Sciences and Mann Libraries
