If you visit the Physical Sciences Library website, you will notice something different.  We are proud to announce today the launch of our brand new service – Virtual Shelf Browser!

While our users love the 24/7 virtual access to the physical scenes collections, we recognized many missed the experience of browsing the stacks.  The Virtual Shelf Browser brings back that experience but in a modern way.  The virtual browser allows you to search for both print and and electronic collections while seeing the shelf right in front of you on your computer or other electronic device.  You can also scroll through the shelves and select items which takes you to the catalog record.  As with browsing in the physical world, the items are arranged in call number order so you can find other relevant items next to a known title.
