Early Semester Workshops at Olin & Uris Libraries

We are pleased to offer an early semester session higlighting the powerful citation management software, Zotero.  Zotero for Humanities & Social Sciences will take place September 1st at 4 pm in Olin 106G classroom.  Please register in advance.  Our complete fall semester workshop schedule will be released over the next few weeks.

Olin and Uris Libraries are also collaborating with Jeremy Cusker from the Engineering Library to offer two workshops early in the fall semester: Introduction to Scopus & Mendeley & Other Citation Management Software.

On August 30th at 4 pm in Olin 106G classroom, Jeremy will teach Introduction to Scopus.  Scopus is “the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings. [It] delivers a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.  Follow this link for more information and to register for this workshop.

On September 6th at 4 pm in Olin 106G classroom, Jeremy will teach Mendeley & Other Citation Management Software. In this short session, Jeremy will go over some of the options available for managing lists of citations, highlighting Mendeley. Many of these have special features that enable you to drop your citations right into your papers. They also can allow groups to share lists together while working on a group project.  You can register for the session at this link.
