The Olin Book Talks series is part of the Cornell University Library’s “Chats in the Stacks” program. The Book Talks feature the latest in Cornell humanities and social science scholarship, as Cornell faculty members read from their recent publications and answer questions from their audience.
Join us on April 10th for a “Chats in the Stacks” book talk with Gavriel Shapiro, professor of comparative and Russian literature at Cornell. In “The Tender Friendship and the Charm of Perfect Accord”, Shapiro contends that V. D. Nabokov exerted the most fundamental influence on his son, making this examination pivotal to understanding the writer’s personality and his world perception.
The event will take place at 4:45 pm in Olin Library Room 106G. Light refreshments will be available throughout the event, and books will be available for purchase and signing.
