we have to start NOW to reduce energy demands by conserving. However, Hydraulic fracking is not the ONLY way to extract natural gas - it is one of the most potentially hazardous ways. I conjecture it is probably cheaper somehow or they wouldn't be pushing it. People forget about future WATER SHORTAGES when they discuss energy needs.
We really need to make sure every aquafir is maintained, and hydrolic fracking is a major risk to the enormous aquafir contained by the shale along with the gas...

Reportedly - I have heard the problem was not the frac process, but top hole management and the design and install of the strings or casing.

The keys
1. Use multiple well strings
2. Recreate the upper confining layer on the aquifer
3. Recreate the lower confining layer on the freshwater aquifer.
4. Make sure strings are centralized in the borehole.
5. Make sure the cement is uniform and set before drilling
6. Conduct baseline testing.

We may need to consider further isolation distances from existing wells.

It is said that the process of drilling has got various hazardous effects on our environment. We should come forward to stop this from happening further.
