I couldn't agree with you more, on this specific topic, as well as just about any other on wikipedia that has any political foundation.

The sick part is that, as you've said, a group gets together and since they all agree, they cannot even step back and see their lack of objectivity.

Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vera_Baker

No one had a problem with it, but now that it's linked with a possible scandal, it's been marked for deletion.

Really?

I never realized how many user gererated sites there were until asked to do this blog and as you pointed out nicely, most of them are very popular with younger audiences. Most of the ones you mentioned are what the majority of college students love to use and I am no exception. Also, interesting how fast they can change. I could certainly name a few others that seemed to be popular back in the day as well.

Kyle - this site sounds really cool! I think I'm going to go check it out more often now, especially through the Facebook connection.

I agree that integration with Firefox (I guess IE...) is a big step, but as far as Facebook Connect goes, I'm not sure. It just seems like the thing to do now, integration with Facebook connect. But has it really made an impact? Theoretically it's a great idea...

Your point about the discrepancy is also well noted, I guess people just already have news outlets so digg fills a different need?
