This weekend Ashton Liu, Hanes Roberts and I attended the Grad Ball hosted by the Cornell Graduate and Professional Student Programing Board (GPSPB). The Programming Board is an organization which facilitates and plans non-academic events for the graduate and professional student community at Cornell University. The GPSPB sponsors Grad Night’s Out, Interschool Mixers, and the annual Graduate Student Ball. The GPSPB is part of the larger Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA). We learned about this fabulous event from Hanes who is a voting member of the GPSA and also represents the School of Hotel Administration as a field representative. The ball was held at the Museum of the Earth in Trumansberg and was a great opportunity to get to know graduate students from other fields, colleges and programs. The night included dancing and drinks as well as delicious appetizers from Agava and deserts from Ithaca Bakery- food always being of the utmost importance to Hotelies! I can be seen enjoying the ribs from Agava in Ashton’s Instagram here: https://instagram.com/p/18eUIvoAp3. The event was fabulous and I’m so glad we went!
