During the fall semester of 2008, I studied economic development & globalization with SIT Study Abroad / WorldLearning in Chile. My home base was the country’s capital of Santiago, but various educational excursions allowed me to see everything from the Atacama Desert – where rainfall hasn’t been recorded in a century – to the Lakes Region, where it’s hard to believe you’re still in South America with snow-capped volcanoes on the horizon and blond-haired descendants of the region’s original German colonizers walking the streets.

Below, you will find an interactive map of my semester created with Google Maps. I’ve marked the locations of the places that I visited during the semester.
