I am an ecologist in the field of Natural Resources, housed in the lab of Tim Fahey and Joe Yavitt. My main research interest on whole plant functionality and species interactions ranges from the individual level via plant communities to ecosystems. The majority of recent research projects focus on plant soil interactions and belowground carbon sequestration. The goal is to identify carbon sink and source dynamics, including contributing players of the soil system, specifically under extreme environmental conditions. I collaborate with colleagues in the state of New York, the US and internationally.
