Welcome to the Losey Lab Website! The Losey laboratory is involved in research, teaching and outreach and our interests revolve around the management of insect populations. Our program has two complementary goals, 1) the management of pest insect populations and 2) the management of endangered or declining insect populations. We are interested in the processes that make certain insect species so numerous that they become pests while others decline so quickly that they become rare or even extinct. Our goal is to educate my peers, my students, and the general public on the importance of insect biodiversity and conservation.
