This component of the LMRC provides a route to resources that can aid in gaining practice with measuring the performance of landscapes in delivering conservation, production and livelihood outcomes. Articles, conceptual aids, guidelines, narratives, power points, videos, weblinks, worksheets and other resources are grouped into six clusters of tools. Applications for most of the tools are introduced in the assessment process component of the LMRC.
Conceptual tools: Help to communicate ideas and relationships among elements of a framework or system.
Communication and social learning tools: Help people interact with one another to share ideas and information, to learn and to engage in landscape measurement and performance assessment.
Landscape level planning tools: Provides information on landscape level planning as well as a set of resources for planning and managing at the landscape scale.
Scoring tools: Help stakeholders gain a general sense for how the landscape is performing, as well as the institutions that support landscape planning and management.
Data collection tools: Guide those who carry out the measurement plan in determining how to develop data for measuring selected indicators.
Gender analysis tools: How to analyze information from indicators with respect to gender.
Spatial analysis tools: Guide those who carry out the measurement plan consider ways of developing, analyzing and presenting information from a spatial (geographic or locational) perspective.
Trend and cross-sectoral analysis tools: Guide those who carry out the measurement plan to analyze data and present information in ways that will be meaningful for landscape level planning and management.
