Santana appointed GK-12 fellow
Steven Santana has been appointed as a 2009 GK-12 Fellow in Biomedical Engineering. This award is based on outstanding research, outreach experience, and teaching record. The GK-12 program was developed to recognize that scientists at all levels should be able to communicate the excitement and practice of scientific research to a variety of audiences and to promote team building and leadership skills. Congratulations, Steven! Steven will be working with local high school instructors on coursework that bridges between our group’s research and high school science curricula.
