Cornell Has Never Been So Sweet!

Thankfully Stuffed

During my last day on-campus my housemate Sam and I started talking about whether or not there were any good Thanksgiving songs.  Stop and think about this for a minute: for Christmas, there are songs like “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” and “Dominic the Donkey” but when it comes time for putting the turkey in the oven? Nothing.  So I just wanted to share this song I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbuBar44WZc .

I am thankful for the two days I was able to spend at home.  This is the first time I’ve been home since August 16th.  Being away so much really makes me thankful for the time I do get to spend with my family.  It’s great to know that no matter what’s going on at school I always have my family cheering for me and supporting me back home.  I wouldn’t be here or have any of these amazing opportunities if it wasn’t for them!  Thanks Mom and Dad!

Countdown ’til Finals!!!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s really important to maintain focus.  Before you know it finals weeks (yes, that’s plural) will be here which means plenty of hours spent in the library.  If you are a lucky student, you get to take the next three weeks to bask in the joy of not having any major tests or projects due until the last week of classes.  However, for most of us, it means that we get to use yet another “break” from classes as time to catch up on major projects, papers, and studying for lab practicals.  For me, the first step, is making it past a 20 page paper this week! Once I get done with that, I can move on to thinking about a five page paper and a business proposal (fortunately it’s all about creating my own honey business!!).

Like I said at the beginning, it’s extremely important to maintain focus during the upcoming week; and as you might be able to tell I am fully succeeding at that task!

AFA Wordle

This is my first attempt with Wordle.  It’s basically word art that can be generated from a blog.  This weekend I’m currently  attending the AFA Conference.  AFA stands for Agriculture Future of America and is designed for collegiate students getting ready to enter into the agricultural workforce.  I am greatly enjoying my time here and just wanted to share my experience so far.

Don’t worry, I’ll write more when I’m on my 6 hour long travel back to Ithaca…and when my computer decides to stop freezing every time I turn it on!
