Connelly and Morris named 2013 Griswold Recipients

Students Heather Connelly (Loeb Lab) and Erin Morris (Hajek Lab) have been named as the 2013 recipients of the Griswold Award for 2013. Heather will receive support for her project titled “Influence of Landscape Complexity on Biological Control of Tarnished Plant Bug in Strawberries,” and Erin will also receive support for her project, “Trading Places: Fungus and Nematode Switch Off between Predator and Prey.”

The Griswold Fund, the bequeath to the Department of Entomology by Dr. Grace Griswold, provides support to Members of the Department of Entomology at Cornell University [i.e. graduate students in the Field of Entomology, Research Staff, and Faculty] for: 1, “expenses connected with the publication of scientific articles”; 2, purchase of scientific equipment for which other funds are not available; and 3, purchase and binding of books and journals for the Comstock Memorial Library.

Congratulations Heather and Erin!
