About
My hometown is Scarsdale, NY where I grew up and attended school. I have four older sisters. My birthday is September 15, 1987
I am a Junior in the Engineering School of Cornell University and interested in majoring in Applied and Engineering Physics (A&EP). Besides academics I also enjoy playing with Legos and watching anime. I am an active member of the Cornell Japanese Animation Society (CJAS) and love to watch, think about, and discuss anime. I enjoy taking photographs of Cornell and putting them online on flickr. Whenever I get around to it, I like to go run or hike. I spend a lot of time online, reading blogs, and just exploring the many thousands of fascinating and hidden communities that exist online.
Often I have a lot of difficulty writing, but I find that when I write about something I really care about and put in the effort, I can produce great things. As an Engineering student I hardly ever get to write and making a blog post every once in a while helps a lot; writing is a critical skill, and I don’t want to forget how to do it.

Hi Joe,
I accidentally bumped into your blog and I just wanted to give you a suggestion. Maybe you already know this, but .edu links are very much sought after among webmasters due to the fact that they have a good weight on google’s search results algorithm.
I advise you to, at least, make your users register for making comments because wordpress blogs on .edu domains are very spammed.
Just my 2 cents:P Good luck with your studies!
Marian.

Right now Akismet is on, and it catches most spam and sometimes valid comments by mistake. Spam is is not a problem yet, but if it gets very bad I can just moderate all the comments myself.
