Apple Forum – Dec. 20th. 2017

This years 2017 Hudson Valley Apple Forum will be on Dec. 20, 2017 beginning at 10AM.

Coffee, danish and lunch will be provided.
RSVP and registration should be made by email stating your interest in attending to Erica Kain at ek538@cornell.edu.

The meeting is at no cost to industry participants.

Information on insect and disease pest management of apple will be applicable to conventional tree fruit producers, plant health consultants, CCE Extension representatives, and plant health industry representatives.

The Apple Forum and Advisory Meeting are an open platform for growers to interact with HVRL faculty and staff to discuss apple disease topics, insect pest and beneficial concerns and horticultural issues facing the industry. The goal of these meetings is to inform, discuss, and pinpoint the future directions of research and extension at HVRL.

About Peter J Jentsch

Peter J. Jentsch serves the mid-Hudson Valley pome fruit, grape and vegetable growers as the Senior Extension Associate in the Department of Entomology for Cornell University’s Hudson Valley Laboratory located in Highland, NY. He provides regional farmers with information on insect related research conducted on the laboratory’s 20-acre research farm for use in commercial and organic fruit and vegetable production. Peter is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Masters degree in Entomology. He is presently focusing on invasive insect species, monitoring in the urban environment and commercial agricultural production systems throughout the state
