Balance in the World of Sports

The world of sports is one that is constantly evolving, yet will never change that much. There will always be those same constants, the reasons that people love Sunday night football, or NHL playoff season or sitting courtside at Basketball games. Part of what makes any sports game so special, is the relationships between players. For example, in the National Hockey League, players fight to the buzzer, putting every ounce of them in the game till the last possible second, fighting veraciously to win, and then once the final buzzer goes off its all over. There will always be the lasting tension due to the pure desire to win, but the players all have a certain level of respect for each other. This is what makes the sport so special to watch, and even more so to be a part of.

LeBron James, basketball legend, recently came forward about the responsibility he is putting on himself to “pay it forward.” He has had an epic career thus far, constantly playing and performing as one of the best in his league. And now he sees it as his duty to help other, developing players. By paying it forward, LeBron is keeping this positive relationship between sports players and fanatics balanced and positive.

These sports players, for the most part, relate directly back to a balanced graph. At the end of the day, the most important thing to all credible and inspiring sports players is the game they’re playing and their pure love for competition. They all have this underlying respect for each other, for the most part, which relates directly back to a balanced, all positive relationship, triangle. Sometimes players will have a common enemy, forcing the triangle to consist of two negative relationships, but these players will likely have a common positive to relate things back to. While this is not always the case, when it comes to respectable sports players playing in the professional leagues, we can rely on this.
