Two Powerful Companies, Faithful Customers, and Strong Ties… Makes for A Strong Triadic Closure.

Two Powerful Companies, Faithful Customers, and Strong Ties… Makes for A Strong Triadic Closure.

So everyone’s heard of Google and everyone’s heard of Intel… it doesn’t surprise many when these company names come in conversation or reach headlines for a new development or innovation made by that particular company. But a partnership between the two? Although Google and Intel are not fierce competitors, their devices are starting to have some overlap in the markets and therefore the two are starting to near a competitive line. However with a recent partnership in which both companies are benefitting from one another (with the prospect of quite possibly in the future going to be competitors in the business), Google still plans to help Intel enter the Smartphone industry while Intel intends to help Google with its Chromebook to enter the business of laptops. The two power hungry companies are indeed power hungry and ready to take on the world and impress their customers once again.

So what does this exactly mean for customers? Well, as faithful customers who are constantly using Google’s search engine and/or Intel’s processors in their PC devices, this doesn’t mean much at first thought except for a merging of two great minds (or companies) to produce an even greater product which already faithful customers will probably purchase; hence the strong bonds between all three of them, just one example of a strong triadic closure. What other catch could there be between these two companies working together? It does go even further to show an application of strong triadic closure regardless of whether the third bond is a weak or strong one, the customer bond between the companies.

With a strong bond between the two companies due to this partnership, faithful customers of Google may very well also jump on the bandwagon for Intel devices or vice versa, even if they have not yet purchased an Intel device. This proves the strong triadic closure in where there is at least some sort of bond. People are more likely to go with what they already have been exposed to and those that may use Google devices or applications but not Intel, with this new partnership, those customers are now more likely to also use an Intel device if given the option or the opportunity arises (where of course there is no Google device to pick from or if it is between a Google device and an Intel & Google device). The two companies working together in this partnership in a way also merges their customer lists. Customers that are already pleased with one of the companies will most probably be pleased with the other or willing to try to use the other companies’ product, especially if that particular product was produced with the assistance of a company that a customer is already satisfied with or has had experience with.

So while the two companies separately may dominate their own aspect of the technological world, the colliding of the two may bring about an even stronger domination in the technological world as the two give one another a hand in producing devices to sell to the public. This strong triadic closure will endorse both Google’s products while also endorsing Intel’s products giving them an extra nudge in the technological world and markets. By having this strong triadic closure, they are likely to expand their customer lists and also appease many who may have not used their items before by accommodating to the other company’s methods. This partnership of the two companies will not only strengthen their product line but will also strengthen the two companies as a whole and goes to show that an application of this concept learned from CS 2040 is applicable to many everyday events.
