My name is Ian Chesser and I work for a company called Kalu Yala. We are working towards creating a sustainable community in the highland rain forests of central Panama. I would like to inform you about an internship opportunity with our company. We will be starting an organic farming internship program starting January 16th, and I was wondering if you could promote our program at your school. We will be setting down infrastructure, which will provide the foundation for future Kalu Yala community farmers. Interns will be building greenhouses, designing and implementing agroforestry systems, and installing crops using permaculture methods. Other tasks include growing & planting exotic fruits, tropical vegetables, and other useful agricultural products. Agro-pastoral systems, including the use of chickens, cattle, and other livestock, will be applied to or organic farm micro-ecosystem.
