Prof. Goldfarb Awarded BARD Grant for Integrated Thermochemical Conversion of Agricultural Plastics

Modern agriculture uses copious amounts of plastics along the production chain for the growing, processing and storage of agricultural products. In a new project funded by the US-Israel Binational Agricultural Research and Development Fund led by Dr. Roy Posmanik (Institute of Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, Volcani Center), in collaboration with Prof. Deborah Sills (Bucknell University) and Dr. Yael Dubowski (Technion) our team will design a cascading pathway to use thermochemical conversion techniques to up-cycle agricultural plastics into biofuels.
