Alumni Leadership Conference Volunteers

Reporting from the Cornell Alumni Leadership Conference here in D.C. Here are a few stats on the phenomenal, dedicated volunteers participating in the weekend:

  • 664 alumni volunteer leaders and alumni-to-be (aka students) here for the whole weekend
  • 173 DC-area alumni coming to 3 open events
  • Oldest class represented: 1945, and 7 more reps are here from all classes from the 1940′s.
  • Most non-student classmates in attendance: 1971 and 2008, tied at 24 alumni
  • At least one rep from each class from 1960 to 2014
  •  36 states (including Hawaii) represented and 5 countries (Singapore, Switzerland, Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S.)
  • 19% identify as other-than-white
  • 56% are women; 44 % are men
  • 96% of the volunteer leaders in attendance have donated to Cornell in their lifetimes; 68% gave in 2011
  • At least 75 people watched “The Value of Leadership” panel tonight via the Livestream on the Cornell Alumni Association Facebook page
  • At least 150 Tweets mentioned #CornellCALC so far
