We are entering mid-September and I am starting to reminisce about the summer. Summertime in Ithaca was absolutely beautiful. The temperature was perfect. There was plenty of sunshine and parks. There are so many parks in Ithaca that I didn’t even know about in the winter.
My favorite of these parks is Robert H. Treman State Park.
This park is amazing with a big swimming hole on the base of a waterfall. There are also tons of trails going through the woods surrounding the swimming zone. On a typical weekend there are lots of families and friends cooking out grills leading up to the water. It is a great place to hang out. Over the summer one of my friends had her birthday party here, so thats how I learned about it.
I have to admit, I was a baby and didn’t get into the water either of the times I went. Since it is natural water and not heated, it was a little too chilly for me and my Florida bathwater expectations for swimming! I would definitely suggest people come check this out before it gets too cold and the waterfall starts to ice over.
As always, feel free to ask any questions!
