Successful completers of Cornell University Dairy Foods Certificate Program

 

Several  people have now successfully completed the Basic Dairy Foods Certificate Program.

Two of the completers are profiled here:

Evelyn Hadley-Rockhill

 

 

        Evelyn Hadley-Rockhill has completed the Basic Dairy Foods Certificate with a concentration on Yogurt & Fermented       Products.  She is the Quality Assurance Manager at North Country Dairy, LLC. in North Lawrence, NY, which is a subsidiary  of Upstate Niagara Cooperative. Eveyln has been at the plant for almost 26 years and has experienced quite a few changes over the years. They produce yogurt, both Swiss Style and Greek. She has stated that, “ The certificate program has provided me with a thorough review of all aspects of dairy as well as provided new innovative ideas for new equipment.”

 

 

Joel M. Herrling

 

Joel M. Herrling is the Quality Assurance Supervisor for Cayuga Milk Ingredients (CMI) located in Auburn, NY. CMI is a new, farmer owned company that specializes in producing milk protein powders along with other milk powders.  Joel says, “Having 10 years of microbiology experience and not so much dairy experience, these classes were a great way to gain more insight into the dairy industry that has helped prepare me for my current job.”
