Some Short Life Highlights

I want to think that someday I will be interesting enough that people will ask me what random thoughts are on my mind.

I never want to end up on the side of a milk carton.

I want to have an impact on people. And the world.

While I’m at it, I wish for a pony.

Really though, I am a Cornell Junior who is looking for a school that offers a skiing major. Since I have yet to find that, I will stick with the number one Industrial and Labor Relations program in the world. Unfortunately, I fall into the about 15% that plans on not using their ILR degree to pursue Human Resources, Law, or Unions.
I am the oldest of five-children and one of the numerous students who had at least one parent go here. I had both. In fact, my father loved Cornell so much that had my mother let him, he would have named one of us Cornell. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to either go to Cornell or Notre Dame. I unfortunately got into both and flipped a coin to decide. Heads was Notre Dame. Then my sister followed me here as a guaranteed transfer.
I live in Chicago, but I have spent far too much time in the Buffalo/Greater Niagara region. My Grandpa lives there, and although I only lived with him for two and a half years, I have spent every summer since I was 10 a short hop across the border in Canada and commuted in daily for work.
I love music. All kinds of it. People frequently say that but don’t fully embody that. I do. My current playlist is Wilco, Eminem, Bagpipes, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Stones, Ludacris, The Clash, The Hush Sound (even a little indie, people always discount the indie genre) and Metallica. I also love Hockey, Soccer, Skiing, Sailing, and the total cliche of driving along water during sunset.

  1. Hello! I came across your blog when I was looking through Cornell’s website and I was curious about the admission process. I’m a junior interested in majoring in the sciences and I know it says on the website that SAT Subject tests are recommended. I was curious if you had taken any. I plan on taking the SAT in the spring and I know I have to start preparing for them. Anything you can tell me about how to make a good impression would be greatly appreciated!!

  2. That’s okay, take as much time as you need. As long as you respond sometime well before I have to sign up for the SAT’s, I will be okay =D
And yes, you can use my name. Thanks again!

  3. I normally roam all over the web because I have the tendancy to read too much (which isn’t always a great idea because many blogs just copy from each other) but I must say that yours contains some real substance! Thanks for stopping the trend of just being another copycat site!
