Food is definitely the highlight of traveling for me. It is great to taste the different flavors, but make sure you go to the local places and not the touristy places. To this day, one of the best meals I have ever had was at a Chinese restaurant in Manchester, England. There is no way I would have found that without getting to know some locals.

What a tremendous experience you are having. It is just thrilling to think of you doing so much of what you love, traveling and writing and being with friends.
