I would absolutely go back to the city of Seville- I loved my time there. While my experience at the University was certainly educational and interesting to compare with my American university experience, I don't think I'd want to go back to the university there, simply because I love Cornell so much.

Haha, hey!!! Thanks for the shout-out, haha!
I was just reading your entry about men too, and I have to say, they *are* very forward-- with the "tengo ganas de verte" thing, but I don't think it necessarily translates to aggressiveness. There's also a much more lax attitude about sex and dating here, I feel. I've been told by several Spanish guys that they think American girls can be too uptight about it. But if you went to meet the guy again, and wanted to just go home at the end of the night, I don't think you'd have a lot of trouble getting away. You know? I don't think there's reason to be scared. On the other hand, maybe people in the south are more aggressive than Catalans-- I don't really know.
But hey-- the fact that you went the whole first date (or non-date) without awkwardness ensuing is already impressive, haha.

Haha, it's exactly the same in Barcelona-- we all joke about it. No class ever starts on time. I haven't had a teacher just not show up yet, but several of my friends have.

Very down to earth blog entry. I like how you expressed your true feelings about leaving the country. It is important for people to realize that like going away to college for the first time, it will be an adjustment. However, traveling and exploring is a fundamental part of educating yourself and becoming a well rounded "worldly" (cliche, I know!) individual. I am excited to read all about your journey, and I wish you a great semester!

Hooray for blogs! I understand everything that you're feeling. You won't end up in a random country (and if you do I expect you to call me so I can come and be random with you!). I can't wait to hear about more on Spain! I'm so proud of you for deciding to do this, Elizabeth. You're the best!
