ROUNDTABLE ON TEACHING ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES COURSES: TUES., NOV 18, 12:15, 221 WEILL HALL

Please join us for another CREST roundtable (free lunch included) on Tuesday, November 18th, from 12:15 to 1:15, in 221 Weill Hall.  This one will be led by one of CREST’s co-founders, Laura Martin (Natural Resources) and will be focused on the opportunities and challenges of teaching various kinds of environmental studies courses.

Here’s what Laura wrote in her email to the CREST listserv:

For our next meeting, we will be discussing the design of Environmental Studies courses — and how to incorporate readings from diverse disciplines into any environmentally themed course.
For this meeting we ask that you bring:
1) Two readings on any environmental theme from your field, or from other fields,  that have been successful in undergraduate courses
2) Syllabi or assignments that you’ve taught or used as models
We’ll use these to compile a list of CREST teaching materials.

I hope to see you there!
