Horacek Fellowship through Cornell and Earthwatch

Three Cornell students were awarded fellowships in the second year of the Partnership for Global Conservation Experiences program, providing them the opportunity to join conservation, sustainability, and research expeditions around the world. The partnership, under the executive directorship of Stephen Morreale (Natural Resources faculty), was created with generous support from Muriel K. Horacek, whose husband was Fred Horacek ILR ’51, along with additional matching funds, for the purpose of including Cornell undergraduates in their choice of Earthwatch Institute’s global field expeditions.

The three Cornell fellowship recipients for this year, Sabrina Daley ESS ’20, Adam High ESS ’20, and Emma Railey ESS ’20, are all highly accomplished developing professionals from the ESS major. All three students served as excellent ambassadors for the Cornell community, expanding our growing influence in the realm of global conservation. Congratulations to all three of this year’s fellowship recipients.
