Having talked all semester about the amazing works of the great renaissance artists and architects, we embarked on one of our last classes with Jeffrey Blanchard, in order to explore Francesco Borromini’s works up close in person. Starting off at the palazzo, we embarked onto exploring Borromini’s work such as the library in the Oratorio dei Filippini and others. But more importantly, we gained access to the interior of St. Ivo alla Sapienza, an almost legendary church for its design.
