Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County is offering a series of home canning classes at Shady Grove Farm and Wellness Center. The classes will be focused on boiling water bath canning, following approved recipes and outline basic canning safety. Master Preservers, Eileen Longware and Judy French will be instructing, along with fellow Master Preserver Karen Bouchard-Braun. Join us to learn how to safely preserve the harvest!

Cornell Cooperative Extension will be offering a series of cooking demonstrations and tasting with Chef David Allen of Latitude 44 Bistro, right in his restaurant kitchen. Join us to see and taste Chef David Allen’s local food creations! There is a $25 charge per session, preregistration required and payments must be made in advance to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Clinton County. What is better on a frigid day than a steamy bowl of soup? Join us at Cornell Cooperative Extension, January 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a soup making class. We will make and eat 3 types of soup and a basic vegetable stock and have time to share ideas for modifications, adapting recipes to seasonal availability.
