Sarah joined the lab in 2015 after completing her PhD with David Hall at the University of Georgia. She is co-mentored by Daniel Barbash. Her graduate work focused on firefly genomics, including the evolution of repetitive DNA. Her current interests include the evolutionary and genetic bases of repetitive DNA abundance in Drosophila.
