Dr. John (PH D. ’70) and Mrs. Barbara Wilkerson have the best private collection of Aboriginal art in the world. Their collection will be showing at the Grey Gallery at NYU on September 1-December 5. The Wilkersons have been working with the Johnson Museum for almost 10 years in creating an exhibition that will travel throughout the US, Australia, and the UK. Dr. Wilkerson is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Museum of American Folk in New York. In addition to their Aboriginal collection they have a fine collection of American folk art.
