The Big House

One of the joys of working for Cornell in NYC is receiving a telephone call that goes something like this:
“Hello Ms. Tobias? We met at Rikers Island.”

We met on the same side of the bars.

The caller and I met while the Cornell Chronicle was covering the fabulous Hydroponics program that Cornell Cooperative Extension has at the prison.
