It takes more than strong bones and muscles to make a strong young person—it takes us! All of us—youth and adult, family and community.  4-H builds partnerships between youth and caring adults, creating positive opportunities for young people to belong, practice independence and generosity, and to achieve mastery.

Meeting the Needs of Youth

4-H builds on the enthusiasm of young people, helping them to explore new interests, goals, and career paths. Our club program gives young people a place to belong, providing a safe environment for families to learn together. Our teen program provides support for youth to build leadership skills and provides opportunities for them to take the lead today. The afterschool program challenges youth to grow and explore during critical hours while parents are working. Special interest groups and activities provide short-term educational events to empower youth to excel.

Connecting Caring Adults

4-H provides opportunities for caring adults to volunteer their time to support our community’s young people. Volunteer opportunities vary in scope and time commitment, from several hours to many months.

Supporting the Community

4-H collaborates with local youth-serving organizations, providing staff training, program opportunities, and more. Our 4-Hers also enjoy completing many hours of community service, and are looking for ways to help.

4-H For the Future

4-H is the process of positive youth development. As such, it is highly adaptable to meet the needs of young people, their families, and the community. Contact us today to see how we work together.
