This is a silent food demonstration contest with a focus on products that are produced in NY State, with all recipes requiring at least one cup of New York product. April 29 – 4-H Rally Dog Experience held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County Education Center, 248 Grant Avenue, Auburn, NY. In the canine sport of Rally/Rally Obedience, the dog and handler complete a course following signs and doing the exercise on each sign. Rally can be a lot of fun and offers you and your canine partner challenges as well. Knowing and understanding the rules and principles of Rally allows the handler to be able to assist the dog in doing its best; which in turn then helps both the dog and handler have a good time. This workshop will encourage the dog in doing its best; which in turn then helps both the dog and handler have a good time. This workshop will focus on Novice level Rally but all levels benefit from the seminar and questions for all levels will be answered. October 21 – Cayuga County 4-H Walk-A-Thon. To be held at Emerson Park from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. “4-H Walking Forward!” This will be a fun experience to raise awareness and fundraise for local 4-H programming. Pledge sheets are available here!
October 21 – Old Fashioned Halloween held at Ward W. O’Hara Agricultural & Country Living Museum & Dr. Joseph F. Karpinski Sr. Educational Center, 6880 East Lake Road, Route 38A, Auburn. From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Trick or treating at 2:30 p.m. with Costume Parade at 3 p.m.

November 4 -Dec. 24 – Festival of Trees—Held at the Ag Museum which is open every day from 11 a.m. until 4p.m. 4-H will set up a tree to promote the overall county 4-H programs. All 4-H clubs are welcome to participate. Contact contact Tim at the Ag, Museum.

November 16 – CCE Cayuga Annual Meeting. Held at the Cayuga Community College Student Lounge, Franklin Street, Auburn, NY. Begins at 5 p.m. with the Annual Meeting at 6 p.m. Featured Speaker: Dr. Brian Durant, President of Cayuga Community College, will be discussing “New & Emerging Community Partnerships”.
