Blogging the World of Work
9:15-9:45am, Catherwood Library Computer Training, 233A Ives Hall

Catherwood Library staff member, Chris Miller, will demonstrate how staying up to date with the latest news and information about the ILR field can be a time consuming process. Why waste time visiting all the different sites you use when you can let those sites tell you when they have new information? This session will discuss the use of new technologies that allow you to subscribe to web sites, blogs, and other sources of information and visit only one source to be informed and review the most current news. Several examples of excellent ILR resources will be included, as well as an introduction to the Catherwood Library blog.

ILR: A New World of Work
10:30am-2:00pm, Training Classroom, Catherwood Library

This new video presentation features perspectives from Catherwood Library Dean Harry Katz and takes a closer look at ILR’s teaching, research and outreach mission; who we are today and where we’re heading in the future; and the impact faculty, students and alumni are having on ILR and the world of work. ILR: A New World of Work was produced by Cornell University’s Media Production Group and ILR Communications & Marketing.
