At the Cornell Play and Learning Laboratory, we are primarily interested in the development of language acquisition and spatial cognition. We work with children between 6 months – 7 years old. Using methods such as visual habituation, cognitive-motor assessments, play-based tasks, and eye-tracking technology, we are able to investigate the physical and cognitive mechanisms that children employ as they acquire linguistic, spatial, and functional abilities.
