August 3, 2006 at 2:20 pm | In Summer | No CommentsHello again!

Summer 2006!
July 28, 2006 at 9:54 am | In Summer | No CommentsHello everyone, & welcome to my blog! I only hope it’s not too too boring, and that whoever you are, you may learn a little about what it’s like to be a Cornellian today.
To fill you in a little bit: I’m a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Biology –Neurobiolgy and Behavior particularly. I hail from down south in Florida, but I lived in New Jersey for a long time, hence me not minding the Ithaca weather too much ![]()
I am currently spending the summer in Colorado, doing research in animal behavior, and if I may admit this without sounding too dorky, I am enjoying myself a lot. Here are all the cool things I’ve gotten a chance to do this summer:
- study how ants find their way home (yeah, you heard me, cool!)
- visited Boulder, a whole lot!
- visited the Denver zoo
- seen “The Tempest” at an outdoor Shakespeare festival
- been getting up at 6:30AM (believe me, that’s a super achievement!)
- visited the Denver aquarium
- eaten thai, nepali, and ethiopian food
- coerced not just 1 but 2 people into visiting me ; )
- lived in a “rustic” cabin in the middle of nowhere
- gone on several 8+ mile long hikes, inlcuding in Rocky National Park
- seen pikas, marmots (one tried to eat my shoelace!), coyotes, foxes, elk and deer everywhere
- cooked dinner without running water
- met tons of cool science dorks
As you can see, pretty good so far…
