About

This blog is written by undergraduate students participating in the CAPS program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. CAPS majors are a hodge-podge crew with an array of interests it comes to U.S.-China relations: some are interested in the public policy/government/diplomacy aspect; others are more attune to economic relations and business; still others have a passion for journalism, NGOs, law, and academia.

Here, we will document our travails as college students from Cornell University majoring in China and Asia-Pacific Studies. You’ll see posts of interesting China-related articles we come across, snapshots of things we do on campus at Ithaca, and anecdotes from our travels. The blog isn’t meant to give a peek just into what CAPS majors do, but also into what it is like to live and study in China. The fall semesters of our senior years are spent at Peking University; when we’re not busy studying, sleeping, or eating, we’re exploring the capital and its country – and we share our experiences with you here.
