Compared to the last sale Number 1 Feeder Steers sold mostly steady. Number 1 Feeder Heifers sold mostly Steady – 2.00 lower. Number 1 Feeder Bulls sold 5.00-10.00 lower. Supply heavy. Demand moderate. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 45% Heifers, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 24%.
Cattle marked “Value Added” were those with documentation following NY Beef Producer’s Association vaccination and weaning protocol (http://www.nybpa.org/) or single source reputation cattle with similar health management protocols.
